SpartanComfort Kings started because we saw a problem in Middle Tennessee's HVAC market. The big distributors have their favorites — the large shops that order by the truckload. If you're a one-man crew or a small operation, you wait longer, pay more, and get treated like an afterthought.
So we did something about it. Comfort Kings is a network of 10-15 independently owned HVAC businesses across Middle Tennessee, working together under one name. Each location is locally owned and operated by people who know their market, their contractors, and their community. We're not a franchise. We're not a corporate chain. We're independent operators who figured out that we're stronger together.
That network gives us real advantages: better pricing from manufacturers, broader product availability, and shared knowledge across the group. But every Comfort Kings location makes its own decisions, builds its own relationships, and serves its own customers directly. When you walk into Comfort Kings in Cookeville, you're dealing with the owner — not a regional manager reading from a script.
That same co-op is how Spartan came to be. One of our partners developed a line of inverter mini-split and central split heat pump systems. Spartan is available exclusively through Comfort Kings locations — you won't find it at a big-box store or through a national distributor.
